Annual Black Hills Rendezvous Guidelines

The Muzzle Loaders of the Black Hills welcome you to the

2006 Black Hills Rendezvous

Rendezvous Guidelines:

· A “camp” consists of up to 2 adults (18 or older) and children.
· Any additional adults must register as an additional camp.
· Camping is designated as “Primitive” and “Modern”. The Primitive camp is restricted to persons in period dress with pre 1840 shelters. (Prescription eyeglasses are allowed) Please help us keep the spirit of the rendezvous by wearing your period dress and gear at all times. Keep all modern conveniences hidden or covered up. All drinks must be in period containers.
· Vehicles are allowed in camp to unload and load, and are limited to one hour. Please unload, drive out, and return to set up.
· Take responsibility for your camp, children, pets, and guests.
· Pets must be leashed and under control.
· Do not cut live trees. Limited water and firewood is available.
· Campfires must not be left unattended.
· Remove and replace the sod for your fire pit. When breaking camp, scatter fire pit rocks and return firewood to central piles.
· Keep safety in mind at all times. No loaded firearms allowed in camp; knife and hawk throwing in designated areas only.
· Youngsters must have adult supervision when practicing shooting or knife & hawk throwing.
· No alcohol or smoking in shooting areas.
· All local, state and federal laws are in effect.
· You are expected to take all trash with you when you leave. A trash bag is provided for your convenience. Please do not put diapers, trash or garbage in the port-a-potties.
· Booshways reserve the right to hold court and pass judgment on any situations not covered above.
